I adore the Renaissance time period, ever since I started attending the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faires in the early 1990’s. Wow, going on 15 years or more of attendance! I’ve set up a page listing some of the various Faires and Festivals we have attended as well as costuming suggestions and links to costuming sites that will help you get your outfit started.
The photo of us was taken in 1999 at the end of the Maryland Renaissance Festival season. I hadn’t been to the MD Fest in years and Vic had never been at all. Now we attend as often as possible.
I was an Arthur Murray dance instructor for two years and absolutely loved it. Dancing is hard work, but is well worth is because it’s something you’ll never forget and will always be able to use. Everyone attends weddings or evenings out where dancing is involved and most times will end up sitting the entire night out because of embarrassment or no knowledge of how to dance. So I say, get up and learn how to become evolved in a great past-time. Learn to dance! If you are interested and would like me as your teacher, I will teach lessons by appointment.
