At my wedding, I created my own invitations because none of the ones I found in the stores offered exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a scroll type invitation, and none of the ones I saw came close.
So, I found the wording I wanted and printed my own invitations on parchment paper. Then I used three colors of gel foil pens to illuminate certain parts of the invitation. Next, I rolled them up and tied them off with a gold ribbon. I rolled up the direction page, the RSVP card and envelope and placed it all in a mailing tube.
Everyone told me how memorable they were. No one had ever received an invitation in a scroll, and because it went over so well, I wanted to pass on my knowledge.
Please feel free to view the invitations I have here. If you would like me to create an invitation for you, please e-mail me. I enjoyed making my invitations and would happily help anyone interested in creating their own memorable invitation. They can be printed on any type of paper - they are shown in plain white to show the scroll work. Certain parts of the invitations can be foil as well.
I also created an invitation for a pirate surprise party I threw for my dad. You can view it here: Pirate Party
